| HS650 is a pack of two solutions (Perl 1 is an aqueous solution of potassium ferrocyanide and Perl 2 is an aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid) which must be mixed before use.
Iron bound proteins are dissociated in hydrochloric acid solution and the resulting ferric ions react with potassium ferrocyanide to form blue ferric ferrocyanide (Prussian Blue). |
